2014 INOA Rally in Ashland

Hey, hopefully all travelling to the rally gets there in one piece and doesnt have any issues. However stuff does happen especially with old Iron,
If you are in oregon, and especially near PDX its POSSIBLE someone from the club locally has a part or might be able to help,
But id like to give a plug to a good local guy who is a rider himself, and a member of many local clubs such as the VME (Vintage MC Enthusiasts) and operates a
Motorcycle specific towing company. Bikes only. has 3 trucks and trailers and can respond 24 hours a day, He also can work with your insurance company and is certified with Triple A (AAA), if you mention the VME or the Norton club i believe he also gives a discount, tell him Doug the Internet Annoyance sent you.
Ask for Chris.

is his website.

Im leaving sometime Tuesday to get there, Bringing all kinds of Norton stuff to display, promoting the NW Vintage car & MC museum, so a mix of vintage and modern Norton stuff. Bringing all kinds of Norton America stuff, plus 2 prototypes and some 961 engines.
No one bid high enough on my auction, so sadly. No ones going to claim the free rally passes and a keg of Beer unless you act really fast. I relisted it on Sunday
but if i dont hear from anyone soon, its not going to the rally with me.
Ill have Miss Maggie Neato with me, a cool rocker chick who keeps an eye on the booth for me when im out and about, and possible I might be bringing internationally famous Ducati World Traveler Dave Smith, Heir to the Granny Smith Apples legacy.

Used to be the Motto of the Local Norton club was "Drink heavily, Pee often" We shall see how that works out.

Here is an article my friend in Medford, Oregon e-mailed me today about the INOA Rally
Tab below.

ASHLAND — A new British Invasion launched Tuesday along the shores of Howard Prairie Lake, but there were no screaming teens lunging to get a peek at bob-haired lads.

Picture time. Sit tight and if you're on anything but high speed internet… sorry…

Had to trailer it down. For one thing I couldn't afford to pack a chiropractor in the back and I also had too much stuff to bring including a video projector, laptop, door prizes (from Colorado Norton Works!) and such. Luckily one of the club members was strong-armed into going down too so we could share some expenses.

If you spot your bike speak up. I didn't run into anyone from the forum except Ken and Jim. I don't know what any of you old farts look like and you all look the same anyways. I don't know how you missed me or didn't come up and say hi except I'm sure I had a good camping funk smell going on… :(

I would like to come back there some time and do the ride down 66 to Ashland a few more times, But this time without the wife on the back. lol lol Chuck.

Nearby Lake of the Woods. A resort that is celebrating it's 92nd anniversary. It was quite lovely there. Spent a couple hours just taking in the view.

It was great to meet you and some of the other listers in the flesh, Dave. Glad you took so many pictures. I meant to, but as usual didn't. I did take these of our campsite and the lake.

My grandson and I had a great time, and he loved the rides on the Norton with the other crazies. We're planning to make it to the 2015 Rally in North Carolina, but with two Commandos instead of one.
