1974 Ducati 750 GT

I bought a '74 750GT back about 1992. Rode and enjoyed it for a good many years and only ever had one problem, layshaft bearing went out. I was told that due to it's high placement in the case it was very important to keep the oil topped up. Be that as it may, it was one of the easiest bikes to work on I've owned. Replacing that bearing was a piece of cake. Though I checked valve clearance regularly, I think I only actually had to change shims twice in 11 years I owned it. It was a comfortable bike to travel on, and handling was effortless. 400-500 mile days were no problem. I pretty much quit riding it when I bought a new Moto Guzzi in 2000 and sold it in 2003. Overall, it was a fun, dependable, and very low maintenance bike. Easy to live with.

Well I finally got rearsets on the bike today. I think they look great and are so much more comfortable than the stock riding position. The linkage/rod is too long so I'm going to shorten it. Dr Desmo in Illinois made these for me. The adapter brackets are a prototype Dr. Desmo designed and do the job nicely!

Nice. I would think you want the linkage rod at right angles to the arms.

They look a lot like Kenny's rear sets.
