Good day folks, thought I'd start a rebuild thread as a way to introduce myself.
I'm a recent addition to the Brit bike scene, been antique harley guy for bout 20 years but always had Norton on the brain since the first chopper I ever saw at 5 yrs old was an 850 Commando with crazy extended fork and dual rectangular headlights. Well I'm not doing that but I found a basketcase 850 Commando this spring and thanks to some lockdown time I started to reassemble this ol girl. Loose plan is to make it look relatively stock but I like to fabricate stuff and will add some personal (cheap) touches to make it work!
This might take a bit, so I'll post some pics and keep adding.
It was pretty much in bins, motor built but out of frame, wheels/tires/tins included. I flew to Vancouver island to pick up my son's car and drive it back to the interior, picked up the basket just west of Victoria, shoehorned it into the car.
