It was unusually warm and sunny so I took advantage of it for a short ride. It was about 50˚F when I set off but the sun sets early so the temps dropped fast. While I was in the sun it wasn't bad. When I got to the place I was taking pictures the wind was pretty strong, there was a wind turbine spinning mighty fast. Still worth it to get some nice shots of the sunset. The sun goes down around 4:30pm this time of year so it was getting dark by the time I got home. I also apparently haven't ridden this bike in the dark as the headlight was pointed just in front of the front tire.

You should be able to see Mt. Hood in the background.

There must be something redeeming about where you live. I can’t imagine parking a Norton on the street.

That ignition lead looks a bit too close to the exhaust for a long life , unless you have found the answer to hot sparks !!.

I did that all thru Uni with my Mk3 on Capitol Hill in Seattle.

Modified a blue tarp so it fit more like a cover and locked it up with a long Kyptonite across the forks. This is before the pencil hack for those was known.

Does your seat have a fibreglass base or steel ?

Winter layup. Out of the garage and into the basement. Well lit, warm and dry. Will drain the oil and put the battery on a tender. If I get ambitious over the winter I'm going to fab a new luggage rack and fettle the carbs.

I put the Interstate up on the bench yesterday for some winter upgrades and maintenance. Gave my push button bike a quick bath as that’s the one I’ll use if we get some decent weather. Plus it has heated grips.

Bonjour,
This is an English language forum!

Its okay.... It was Norton related and he knew what he was talking about... I guess.

yes, my saddle has a fiberglass base and the same design as yours on an 850 MK3 from May 1975 and it is very slippery and uncomfortable; I changed it for a recent one
I had to translate that one. To be honest I don't know if the basketweave is correct for 73. Nor do I know if the cover is original to the bike. I don't find it exceptionally slippery but it's not the most comfortable. The rear sets help a ton but it's old foam so it's a bit stiff.
