WHAT'S THIS THEN......

Paint and stickers for existing models is the safest bet.
However, could it be their first Leccy offereing?

Correct, even that was a bend of the rules I think. I think Garner used the deposits taken as justification of it being a production bike.

But after they went tits up and there was no chance of production, even this ‘exaggeration’ didn’t apply.
They didn't need any justification, the organisers loved having Norton there....it was a bit of a deal for them. We weren't very successful, but the bikes were always a crowd pleaser. The small print in each section pretty much said if the organisers like your bike, don't worry about, we'll let you race 🤣

Ha!

Thats actually understandable, supporting Norton, links to the TT, etc.

But I guess when Norton went pop, and team Hicky bought the bike, none of that applied anymore. And at the end of the day it was a one off factory race bike. Had he won, the other production bike based teams would have been somewhat displeased I feel.

Really not sure who’s gonna buy wanna these:

This looks awesome IMO:

These look great too, but personally I think I prefer the plain unadulterated carbon finish:

The V4SV and V4CR 588 Special look great IMO - classic colours - blacks contrast to gold wheels, very cool!

Also struggling with the budgie yellow 961, although it’s pretty eye catching! In the eye of the beholder of course. Vintage tank decal looks a bit cartoon for a ‘modern’ retro. Polished front end - forks look good.

Like the JPS colours too - ironically, that‘s just given me an idea for repainting (or wrapping) to the rear end of my CR.

As FE said, really do need to see them in the flesh to appreciate the aesthetics properly. Guess UK based guys will be able to do this at the NEC - lots of pictures please.

I would have leaned more on the look of the Manx behind it. Red seat unit pinstripe is a must, along with the tank striping. But where I probably will really split opinion, I would have done the airbox yellow.

Just seen that the grey stripe JPS tribute V4SV is £8k more expensive than the carbon SV. Them‘s sure some expensive stripes boy !

Def prefer the carbon now …

Bold new colours hey an ouch that's some price jump Eddie. Could get 8 paint jobs on a superbike done at dream machine for that.

I agree Stu and a different fly screen to mirror whats usually on the Manx lever colour to a few touches would have been nice would have looked trick so it's actually a bit more different from the normal ones. Even a tank strap and the filler from one.

Hey at least we have a colourway from one of the first singles! That's half a step to a new single right? :)

What can I say forever an optimist that they do a long stroke like the 1920s bikes one can dream.

I agree though Eddie the JPS colours are nice on them.

Seems there’s competition in the luxury, hand-built, 185bhp, British Bike market.

And this one has a ‘sensible’ riding position and handlebars… like we’ve been repeatedly saying Norton need to do…

WHAT'S THIS THEN......

Yes, sensible ergos, a requirement for me, personally.
Impressive unit though.
Unfortunately, this LS12 has been hit rather hard with the ugly stick.:(

Old people with long memories, bit like me 😉
And that’s the problem the younger crowd doesn’t have a sense of nostalgia. And the older crowd doesn’t want to buy it over priced Motorcycle no matter how much lipstick you put on a pig!
