Yes, my spare outrigger plate is the same, and I expect the one fitted to my Commando is probably identical.

He mentioned the dowel was solid and if it's not a PO substitute locating dowel could it be part of the clutch push rod broke off?

The picture of his pin shows it to almost perfectly shaped--machined ends---not fractured / jagged ends.

Jed -

Mystery was solved. The piece is the locating dowel pin for the stator outrigger.

Bike has been re-assembled and all is good.

Good for you I don't remember seeing one when I pulled mine down (maybe still in place) but if it shows up I'll know what it is
