What did you do to your Norton today?

The Norton factory has chimed in a few times to state that the 090 and 091 maps are designed for the Dominator bikes only, not the Commando Sport/CR or SF models.
These maps are suited to the Dominator's different airbox.

I have a 2013 CR with SBN de-catted X-Pipe and SBN Dominator silencers.
I had running/idling problems with the 076, and 077 maps.
I am now using the 090 map with virtually problem free operation.

What did I do today... I wrung it's neck during a nice long run around the back roads of Auckland. As most of you slide into winter - the good times are just beginning down here!

That's Rangitoto Island in the background btw a dormant volcano.

Hello Iwilson , A beautiful place . I was looking at a map and I wondered what your winters are like down there. Initially I thought that New Zealand was in the Tropics but after looking at a map I see you are just below them. Are the winters mild as we might say up here ? Being out in the ocean you must have a lot of sea breeze and that keeps you cool even in the hot summer .

I got my bike with map 76 and the decatted SBNs. Hard start and vibes all across the board. (took them forever to get 77) Finally got 77. Hard start, forever warm up, racing idle...2200...terrible vibes. Map 90, which Matt at SBN said is the one I should be using, quick start, goes to 2k for up to 20 sec. depending on ambient temps., shorter when it was 90 degrees out, settles to 1150, runs great all day. Still a little vibe in the mid 4's. I'm not upgrading to anything. This bike runs superbly for the last 4K. All is right with the world.

I see with the season cooling off and raining, there's a lot more activity on the forum today. Shows we've been riding. Going to the garage to polish the x pipe. Getting ratty.

Then I agree. Keep with 091. Why change what is not broken??

Ed. Mothers metal polished worked great on the pipes. Cuts right through the milky gunk. Doesn't take out all the splatters, but helped quite a bit. Even took out some of the yellowing and bluing. Kept going. I love this bike. Such a joy to clean. Took me 90 minutes to put a very light compound, frame tank and cowl. polish most of the metal, and then a coat of pure Carnuba. Gliptone.

Auckland is sub tropical, very mild winters i.e. just the occasional frost. Down south snow is not unusual. Summer temps generally high 20's (C).

Took a great ride through the Wasatch Mountains above Brighton and Deer Valley ski resorts today - beautiful fall colors were vivid.

That is a awesome view!!!

I put Xpel stealth paint protection on my bikes frame and forks. And Xpel ultimate on the front carbon fender, carbon fly screen, tank, air box and tail section.

Do you have pics of the aluminum tank installed? I received a email back from Norton today, I want to switch all my bare aluminum to polished aluminum (yolks, risers, foot controls and plates etc) I think I might also go with an aluminum tank.

Today I received all of my polished pieces from Norton. Talk about fast! I ordered them Thursday received them today, Monday! From England to Michigan.
I just finished installing the foot controls and heel plates after work. Once I get some free time, I'll swap out the instrument panel, yolks, risers and clamps. Then I'll order the aluminum tank and short exhaust.

Could you provide pictures of your new parts?
Wondering how it looks.
