A Triumph of the imagination, I fear. Hehe.

Aww shucks, what a nice thing for Tim (Phantom309) to say. For those of you who don't know, Phantom is Timmy Joyce, my biggest competitor, and without any question the fastest vintage racer out there in North America today. And he lurks here to see what I'm up to. Evil-doers are out there people. Anyway, there was some serious racing going on at VIR a couple of weeks ago and the Norton kept up with the pesky OHC Yamaha and that Triumph. In fact, dare I say it might have actually pulled them a bit.

Currently my motor is undergoing some open-heart surgery. I broke my crank at Mosport last weekend and a few bits got taken out with it. I will post some images soon in a new thread. But, Canaga/Schmidt/Comstock/Rambow/Cockram have all risen to the occasion and it will run again for Barber, in anger. Perhaps angrier than ever.

So, who's coming to Barber?
I get alot of help with my efforts from triumph guys so my hats off to you guys helping kenny and the norton effort.Barber should be a good weekend of racing , come out and check it out.The championship is still up in the air only because we chose to take it to the last race of the year for a smack down. Makes it alot of fun and cant think of a better bunch of guys to be with. I can think of a hell of alot of better women.:-)

That does it, im going some place else to play , you Norton guys are no fun. Can't even get you to defend your own brand:-)

Sorry this is a bit off topic, Hey Fullauto guess who this is? How long will a Sharpie signature last on a tank? Tore the Angeles Crest highway up today. But the CHP keep us mostly honest, NOT!!!!!!

Hey Chuck, Erik must have a mountain of writers cramp from all the Buells he's signed over the years. I hope he does well in any new venture he takes on. Is it your bike?

Yea Fullauto that's mine, He was nice enough to sign it and take some pictures with us, He does have some things in the works but can't say just yet. Harley Davidson let him out of his no compete clause early, So I heard. I think they are working on something new for the public, The race team that is running the 1190 Rotax engine is making great strides in it's development. The guy must have signed more stuff than one could count, And was always smiling while doing it. Before we went up we tried some things with the suspension on the S1 and man did it carve through the corners, And she is due for new shoes! It was one of those rides where you feel you own the corners, Remember that line? Now back to your regularly scheduled broadcast, Sorry again.

S1s are just an absolute modern classic. I love my X1 but if somebody offered me a trade I'd be sorely tempted. There's not that many here in Oz. I envy you.

My bud Wes led Saturdays Ozark Mt twisty ride on his '71. Said he really had to keep throttle pulling to keep the ride thrilling to the two fellas that traveled here from Iowa just for one days wear down from all the leaning back and forth. Rich rode his '74 850 the whole way down, then around here then back home again while the last of a kind Buell model rode in pickup all the way here and off THE Gravel till on pavement. Rich had also rode his 850 to NC Blue Ridge Rally this spring in preference to his Suzuki V-Strom.
Near end of day Wes said both of them had had enough keeping up with a handy 750 and bogged down to sightseeing cruise mode, mostly boring Wesley whose has the worlds number one clapped out horrible handling and vibrating Commando that don't settle down till 55 mph in top and judders and jiggles and resists. Wes's '71 is what dropped me 6 wk ago when front jittered out on layer of unseen Gravel while braking from 35 mph very slightly leaned. Its so bad I never want to ride it again until we go through forks, swing arm, iso's and put a rod or two on it.

Oh yeah Wes said his '71 began making scapping sounds early in the ride, said it only settled down by hi throttle pressure. He discovered the center of rear hub had fractured out. I had a spare hub to give him to fix someday.
