Tuning the Norton Twin

Thank you for directing me to that site. Were you able to successfully download or print the PDF itself from that site?

EDIT: Figured it out. There are three tabs to the lower-left of the PDF viewer. Click the Download tab and then confirm you are not a robot and success! I saved it from my local PDF viewer (Adobe Distiller) and scanned it for virus - good to go! Thanks again!

It took a while for me to figure out how to save as a pdf and print.
I also have a hardcopy of the original, dated 1972.
The "revised" version, dated 1995, has additional info and some qualifications on his earlier edition, added in italics. It would have been better if the whole thing was rewritten. But overall, I think it is worth a read.

Yep and it's possible to make them run better with another 50 years of new developments
Both when working and in my hobbies, my whole life has been about ;continual improvement', However I never believed my 850 motor could be so good. Theoretically, it should not be, but the design actually works. I think a decent engine management system would help it to be much better. The new 961 Norton Commando might stay together better at high revs. I don't know whether it has 6 speeds close ratio, but it seems to have a lot of potential. In the old days, I never believed Ducati V-twins would become fast enough
