TAB II Alloy Tank #3

How about a tank strap where the oil filler screw cap is replaced with a fitting which forms the front mounting point?

Interesting idea Clive. Not sure how it would look terminating at the filler hole, although a filler hole fitting could be fashioned to hold the strap against the tank (in the filler tube aperture). Worth a look.

Oooohhh. Possibly. Good idea
I've always fancied a brown leather tank strap. Might look awful in reality, but always thought about it

There are a few leather alternatives out there if that’s yer thang! I’m not a big fan of this one, but it certainly adds a bit of functionality (storage & tank protection).

Do you know where the grips/seat came from on that?
Bike belongs to Sergio, who hasn’t been on the site for quite some time. My guess is all of the leatherwork would have come from the same leather goods manufacturer - he was Sydney based but no idea where he would have purchased them.

Plenty of custom bike seat manufacturers about Kev, if you want to get your seat covered. ‘Saddlecraft’ will do whatever you want - or select one of their available 961 options.👍

I do mine by hand. Only take 5-10 mins so cost of a machine isn't justified for that job IMHO. Polish-wise, I use this.....

I’m with you Kev - use Mothers, or Blue Sapphire which I think is a little better, myself.

These don’t get rid of the fine swirls and scratches of course. The correct buffing/polishing machine (used correctly) will do.

Being so anally retentive is a real bind!!

Oh for sure - get your question now. It's on my list for the long-term but not something I've looked into (other than a glance) yet but will get one eventually.

Machine I'm less concerned with, it's the compounds/products that scare me the most
