T160 it is so damn heavy

If the T150v is easy to put on the stand I cannot imagine what the T160 is.
The 74 Norton is slightly easier to put on its stand than the T150v for me.
Pig that it was the R90s was a lot easier than any of them.
 
Just wondering since I don't have a T160. My T150Vs are easier to put on the center stand than my Nortons. Any idea why the T160 is harder?
It's heavier and the frame is an inch lower
Maybe they never changed the length of the centre stand legs?
I know they put a "set" in the side stand because of the lower frame

On page six of this thread, LAB has put on plan drawings of the T150 & T160 frames. Apparently the area of the frame where the centre stand attaches to on the T160 is the same height/ at the same point as the T150 and it uses the same centre stand!

Also the frame tubes where the engine mounts on the T160 are higher. So if they've put a "set" in the side stand which fits a higher engine rail in the T160, it sounds as if the frame through its suspension on the T160 has probably been lowered when compared to the T150, I'm not quite sure?

No the "set" or bend in the t160 side stand is bent upwards to allow for the lower frame rails (not higher) from what I have read?
 
It's my opinion only that the centre stand on a T160 is too far back and would be easier to operate a coupe of inches to the front.
