Sutable Commando exhaust systems

I think you're safe getting the less Harris ones from CS, I did have mufflers from them four or five years ago that cracked but I think they were the cheaper ones. I've had a set of Viking Stainless mufflers on for many thousand miles and I like the look. Glad to hear Matt is going to do Stainless sets, personally I don't like the look of chrome. I also have Viking Stainless headers but haven't gotten round to installing them, will soon. If I'm correct you said your 30 years old now so I would not recommend ordering from Viking if you want them before your 35th birthday!!! Well for that matter you might not ever get them. Whatever you do buy the best ones you can afford, the cheap ones all crack.

I'm going to buy a new system for my current project and am considering the Viking balanced set from New Zealand. Very expensive compared to other system I've seen online. Are they woth the extra $$$$?

I just realized I mixed up Viking with another manufacture that made my stainless pipes & mufflers. It's been a lot of years since then & can't even remember the correct name of the people who made mine, think they were from Florida, U.S. I should have double checked before commenting. I have not bought from Viking but have heard the stuff is great. Good luck.

viking has been a hit or miss. pipes not bent correctly and mufflers breaking apart @ the transition from the pipe to cone. Also can be hard to impossible to deal with as to warranty issues. As a side note fred @ old britts stopped dealing with him years ago if that tells you anything. I think the Fl ones you are thinking of were epco 2nds. not hearing much from them anymore.

Also, another point is that Viking in NZ don't make stainless exhausts, they are all chromed steel.
For info, I've got two sets of pipes from Commando Specialties, and I can't fault them , excellent quality (the US made systems at any rate)

I would check with Matt @ CNW. He has a beautiful set of mufflers. He may have headers available by now, but not sure.

I won't hesitate to buy the exhaust from Matt when I need exhaust.

I have no affiliation with Matt or Colorado Norton Works. Just a fan of his work and his willingness to be helpful...

First, I own a CNW build. Matt does great work

His new mufflers are stainless (so no chrome or rust out issues) and he is currently working on stainless header pipes (may be available now, not sure)

It has been my experience that anything that Matt offers will be first class. And, if you are not happy, he will step up to the plate to fix any problem.

My only affiliation with CNW is that I am a very satisfied customer.
