States' Rights? Trump to Ban California from Making Its Own Laws

Back in early 70’s 3 buddy’s and myself went on bicycle ride down to Ovens Park campground ,outside Lunenburg the day school ended 100 miles first day 90 the second .... we were renting a Boy Scout lodge as was cheaper than 2 tent spaces ... lodge was beside main washroom , got to meet most visitors and their daughters ... anyway got befriended by a couple from Maryland ,Tony & Helen Blowers , they took 2 of us to Oak Island for the tour one afternoon , quite the adventure , really cool place , on way back to camp my buddy finds an old billy stick jammed under seat , Tony tells us it his grand daddy’s used for busting heads of black men back in the day .... we got them to stop and walked back to camp , they were real nice folks up to that point .... right around time I started seriously thinking bout a bike with an engine , I still have the old 1970 Peugeot 10 speed , leather seat still good and it shifts nicely .... my buddy’s don’t bother with that type of exercise anymore ..... yup Mr. Egan is one my fave moto writers , read his column for years and have a couple of his collections including his newest as a Christmas gift from my wife , fun to read most of that content again too ...

Motorcycles ain't greed... Turn on coffee, grab keys, let little dogs out, unlock back shed/open, check battery in Baby & look her over, come in and wait to ensure no rain before a ride.

Maybe try watching a bit of news until they start the political crap, which takes about fifteen seconds to exhaust all traces of truth moving into left or right spin. A ride can successfully purge the soul of all trace of the BS for the day, but must be repeated often. Preferably on English iron, but any scoot really shall suffice if needs be.

I long for the days when the news was the news, and editorials were clearly identified as opinions.

Yes, a ride does purge the soul!!! :D It's currently 51 degrees Fahrenheit outside, blue sky with a few wispy clouds and a 5 MPH breeze from the east. The Norton is ready, but I have no time to go riding!!:(

I take it you've never seen a pickwick drumstick being utilized then.... I have and it's results are not pretty..... Kind of an imprint from childhood memories. They are color blind BTW.

Time is relative.... You must make some available or perish. Last chance for the year.

The snow just turned to rain here .... looks like end of April for me ..... a few years back (10) I got out March 27th and continued to ride from then until first snow in Dec. , longest ride season ever for me .....

Keep it shiny side up!

I had to quote this because it's a great example of how unhinged some people are. You forgot to add that "He steals candy from a laughing baby's mouth".

So, IF I liked Trump more than Obama, it would be because I "screw porn stars while my wife is pregnant"?? and I'm a racist?
Perhaps this sort of thinking illustrates how unhinged the anti-trumpers are. Do you think Dr. Ben Carson works for a racist president.

I like how he got in Hillary's space to make her uncomfortable. You think she should have committed assault? I suppose she could do it without getting arrested. She's admitted to other criminal acts and not been prosecuted. You know that? Right?

What proof are you talking about? that Corey Booker called him a racist? Corey Booker called Joe Biden a racist too.. Joe Biden, Obama's Vice president... Did you know that Obama has a racist VP?... Where have you been?? lol

You ask for proof Trump said something yet make an unsubstantiated statement that Hillary committed crimes, How do things look in Trump’s colon? Find any polyps?

BELIEF is a very strange thing. Many people are incapable of change, once they are committed by voting. A leader has to be pretty bad before enough voters will change their vote to oust them. In Australia, we have had some really corrupt ignorant bastards leading us - and they have endured for decades.
If only half of what Trump says is true, you will never get rid of him. People will hear what they want to hear and the rest will mean nothing.

Envy,IMO, is a bigger problem than greed.

Envy motivates much of what masquerades as egalitarianism.

In Australia, we have two fundamental values -'the fair go' and 'collectivism'. The first is about not getting right up other people. The second is that nobody gets left behind. It is simple mathematics. - One plus one equals three. A team is always more effective than an individual.
When the allied soldiers were prisoners of the Japanese in Changi during WW2, there were 3 distinct groups. The Br4istish maintained their class system. The Yanks were all individuals. The Australians had their support groups up and running. It is a survival strategy. Australian soldiers also act that way in battle. The non-commissioned officers lead a team. Individualiam is for idiots and Ayn Rand should know better. As far as the economy is concerned, we probably need entrepreneurs, but most are s imply scam merchants dressed up to look nice.
The ideology of 'a fair go' and 'collectivism' is NOT class envy.

I think it was Nigel who said 'Australians have a chip on their shoulders'. I was on a ferry in Venice with my wife and there was a big old Italian guy there who was a bully. He started on an Italian woman who had he leg all bandaged-up. It was about where she was sitting. Then he started on my lovely wife who was sitting opposite him. He did not know I was standing just behind his seat, looking-on with interest. If he had really got going I would have sat him on his arse. If I had started to lose, there were three other Australian families near-by. After my wife had taken a big piece of him, the other Italian women who were there, were all laughing. With our guys, you are never one-out.
