The Chinese aren’t generally well known for making BETTER copies of the original though are they ?Thing is the Chinese have the better end of the stick, there is no doubt the 961 sold well, looks nice, so why wouldn't it now. If the Chinese sort out the reliability they'll have a bike that will sell with a nice margin. Garner crap or a Chinese reliable copy, I know what I would buy.
MK3 Norton sprag clutches seem to be better performing, more luck than judgement though .The Chinese aren’t generally well known for making BETTER copies of the original though are they ?
Their diseases are pretty world beating though! (Sorry, thread derail, ignore and carry on)The Chinese aren’t generally well known for making BETTER copies of the original though are they ?
Not yet but they are getting there rapidly, MCN report on CF Moto 650 is clearly reporting things are getting closer. The Chinese aren’t generally well known for making BETTER copies of the original though are they ?
Very true…Not yet but they are getting there rapidly, MCN report on CF Moto 650 is clearly reporting things are getting closer.
“It’s an exciting time to be following Norton’s journey”…So basically no 650
The longer they take to decide on any model, makes it more likely that it will likely never materialize.“It’s an exciting time to be following Norton’s journey”…
Thats a bit f***ing rich isn’t it?
How do you follow NOTHING…..?! Cos that’s all they’re giving us currently.
I’d say the 650s still have a chance. BUT the trouble is, by 2023 they’ll already be 5 years old. Legal requirements and the competition will have moved on.
Fight back in the only language they understand: Glue your head to the factory gates!!The longer they take to decide on any model, makes it more likely that it will likely never materialize.
At the rate that the enviro-nazis are pushing government bureaucrats to ban production of ICE vehicles, it may be impossible to produce any new ICE powered bikes, or cars.
Stu,To be honest, is it surprising that the Atlas/Ranger is in doubt....it's engine shares a hell of a lot of V4 parts, the same V4 model that TVS have wiped their hands of and left the owners out to dry?
Chinese involvement with the 961 aint a bad thing. A lot of the engine components were sourced from Taiwan anyhow.....and those parts rarely gave problems. Most of the problems cMe from the parts made or assembled in the UK, which is a shame to say.
