Solihull is back in business?

There was an item on ITV news on Friday about the new Norton factory in Solihul.

The news item can still be seen if you Google "ITV news Norton Motorcycles".

It also included a bit about Ian Loram's huge collection of Nortons.

This is worth watching about the new facility. You can just catch a glimpse of my 750S in the reception area at the start.

Hopefully you all can read this. Not sure on its accuracy. Just received my new Cafe Racer Magazine in the mail 2 days ago and just opened it up to page 12 and seen this.

Interesting.
Did Cafe Racer interview Dr. Bob? How do they know this?
Dr Bob had previously said that Norton/TVS were discussing whether or not to redesigning the 961 and continue production.
But didn't know that he thought it was unsafe in its current form.

Exactly my point

It's a shame, there is now more BS out in circulation about Norton and the 961.
I guess Cafe Racer has to try a little harder to get their facts straight before publishing.

That's is annoying when pretty much everything in the article is false/misleading. The point about the 961 as 'Unsafe and unsuitable for further production' is especially annoying and if I were Norton, I would be having a serious word with this publisher. They have a limited run of the 961's in production now and this article suggests they are unsafe.

Perhaps Norton should get their lawyers busy doing something other that trademark protection when there are incorrect but potentially damaging reports. If there does happen to be a shred of truth about the 961 safety they should be shouting it from the rooftops.

Once had to take a journalist to task in the UK about false information regarding the F1 Sport.
He admitted the journalist who wrote the article pulled all of the facts wrongly off the internet without checking for himself.
