7900 rpm , but in real world use more like 7500 rpm.
Makes sense, there is little reason to rev it to 7900rpm, but nice to do once in a while, to clear the mind of cobwebs. :p
So your 961 will rev to 7900 without triggering the limiter?

The real increase is 250 rpm . It starts to starts to cut at 7500 rpm instead of 7250 . I really doubt I could reach 7900 rpm.

To date there are only about 4 members I know of who have the Delta 400 . Myself , Claudio , lcrken and iwilson . There may be others , I have not seen them on the forum.
I have an as yet unfitted Delta 400. Hopefully over the Christmas break it will get fitted.

Be great if you could take photos of the process to show us what it takes to do the swap.
I expect to order a Delta 400 in a few months too.

Sorry , I forgot you ! A precaution is to disconnect battery before connecting or disconnecting the ECU . Same with Idle Motor I have read on a pdf from SC Delta.

the replacement operation is extremely simple, just take the precaution of disconnecting the battery and it is done in a few minutes

Can someone explain what are the advantages of swapping from an Omex ECU to a SCS Delta.
Thanks

the SCS Delta is plug & play for the SCS Typhoon control units.
I don't know for Omex

Tony,

Didn't the SCS contact say that they have a conversion wire/cable that allows folks with an OMEX controller to switch to the SCS Delta ECU?
I remember a posting to this effect.
I tried searching for the post but can't find it.

You may not have to spend the big $$$$ to join the Delta 400 club. Contact Stewart Taylor at SCS Delta USA. His email is st.tesystems@gmail.com or call 408-458-6845. They are located in Southern California.
They unlocked my SC Typhoon, uploaded the "latest 961 Cal file" and also included a CAN USB Cable to work with the software, if needed. I haven't needed to. This all cost WAY less than a Delta 400 setup! My idle speed is perfect at start up and low rpm hesitation problems are gone. I have not messed with my bike except for upgraded sensors and relays. My original O2 sensors are still installed.
My SE is a May 2014 build with the Norton Short Open Slip-ons. This ECU work was done last month. So far, so good.

The biggest advantage is accessibility to the ECU with the free software and advice and files from SCS Delta . This can help you diagnose problems like sensors and switches. But you must have a laptop and interface box/cable. IF YOU are happy with the OMEX and have access to NORTON or dealers then why switch ?? Does your bike idle good ? Does your bike start and run good ?
Almost forgot , SC is compatible with OBD2 diagnostic scanners . Your conversion harness will probably include a OBD2 connector on it. I do not know this , just guessing based upon the previous SC Typhoon. You can email SCS Delta and ask. .

No idea. I just told Stewart what the issues were with the bike and that I had the Norton Short Open Slip-ons and that was the file they uploaded. Whatever it is, it works for me!
