Thank you

See you've found some of my old threads. If you want a lot of reading and maybe some info on the 'S' find my thread on '69 Phoenix rises again' or something like that. It's about 23 pages, one of the longest threads ever. You can also just link to my Photobucket album and see lots of pics. Somewhere in those albums is the rider's manual and some other stuff. I haven't looked in that PB thing since they went strange on us.

Keep updating on your project. Dave (DogT) knows of my project bought about five weeks ago. It’s a very early ‘69 750 S build in the first month of production. Mine is metalflake red and I’m trying to find a good clear red top coat to match the original shade. The info about Metalflake Corp maybe useful. Next step for me is get an official to certify the matching numbers to generate a title. It’s been out of the system according to the seller since 1976. Also got a despatch record from Andover Norton although it doesn’t indicate the color. Mine left the London factory on Mar 12, ‘69 going to NVC in Los Angeles. It has a Motorcycles Unlimited Corte Madera deal sticker so has never left California in 50 years.
