rev counter drive oil leak

Years ago I fixed a leaky tach drive by wrapping small diameter teflon string around the rotating intermediate piece, and screwed the tach drive cable around it. Never leaked again. Note, this was not teflon tape, but string, used in old style plumbing taps to keep water leaking around the stem.
