Never liked the feel of a 90/90-19 Road Rider on the front. I’m more confident on the old AM19 in 410-19. Actually if I didn’t already have the Avons I would choose K81.

I built my Commando/Featherbed for handling in the tight twisties, so far the Avons haven't let me down, in 44 years of this build I have tried many different tyres/tires over the years and none have come close to the grip of the Avons, also I run a bit more air PSI in all my modern tyres, I get the same mileage out of my tyres around 6,500 miles or around 12k km, I also get the same on my Thruxton 1200, I run new Metzler dual compound on the Thruxton.
The Avons also handle great in the wet, so grip over long life for me, I also ran Avons on my old 2013 Thruxton 900 when I had it and always got doubled life out of the front tyres on all my bikes.
