It's time to replace the original, 5 year old tires on my 2013 SE. I'm probably going to stick with Dunlop, except I'll be opting for the Roadsmart 3's this time. It should be a better overall tire for the riding and the roads in Northern California. However, when using the bike/tire match feature on the Dunlop site, they do not recommend the Roadsmart tire for a Norton, only the Sportmax Q3+ and the GPR 300. Anybody have any ideas why that would be?

Probably just nearest what the original spec was ex factory? Mine had Sportmax or some such on it.
I've just fitted Pilot Road 5's, they have worked well so far and are more than enough tyre for me. I don't see that Roadsmarts would be any less suitable.

Mmm, well I got a pair of Roadsmart 3 ,s Was informed by a Dunlop guy at bike show that they would be harder wearing than the Roadsmart 2,s & better in the wet with more grip , had them fitted back end of last year, not had chance to go far atm ,First MOT on bike today so here the bike on way back after a light english drizzle in rain( zoom in for the Roadsmart s
 
Bridgestone Battlax S20 Hypersport Evo before the Metzeler.
OEM Dunlop were changed after only 3k
Bridgestone Battlax BT023 Sport Touring did hold about 6k
 
The original Dunlop Sportmax was great. Rear tire was done mid 7K. Running the Bridgestone Battlemax now. They're ok, but felt more confident in the tight turns with the Dunlop.
