Premiers

Not as mysterious and difficult to find, but here is a pic of my Premier bowl drain plug seals after 6 months of E-gas.

Premiers

I have come across a few Commando owners who have had problems with brand new concentric carbs, (but prior to the premier ones). looks like this leak could be a good place to start looking.

What would the magic petrol-proof sealer be? Does one exist? Maybe Glyptal red insulating varnish used for high voltage (and engine case sealing) would work?

I'm going to try fiber or PTFE.
Or just slice a proper diameter fuel line thin and make my own. :D

Tomspro, I think you are confusing the brass pressed in plug in the bottom of the carb body with the screw in plug in the bottom of the float bowl. Two entirely different items.

I am not confusing them, just wanted to add to the discussion about problems with Premier carbs.
I do like them despite the problems. My Commando runs great and starts easy since I upgraded to them.
