Possibly selling my 50th Anniversary CR...

Love Nortons but I'm pissed off with this one!
I was pissed off too but mine was sorted quickly and since then I have had 1300 trouble free miles - check the other threads, pictures etc. Good meet at the Ace today. Many of the guys here have had an issue or two but once sorted (first service, re-map) it is an awesome machine.

Don't be pissed it's fine and MIL antics seem to be the norm. I had this too, also with decat + shorties. I also had a small rocker leak prior to head re-torque, try not to worry. I agree totally with Eljhara, this is a superb bike and you will not regret your decision.

Some closure on this thread guys, my bike is booked in to have Sports bars fitted (thanks Rob and Dave), was gonna do it myself but didn’t fancy interfering with the ABS (new brake hose required).

I still prefer the Cafe Racer, and will always look at others with envy, but my wrists just can’t hack it anymore.

So I ain’t selling after all, and the Harley will have to wait...

See? Good sense prevails in the end...!

but...but...but... it says CR on the airbox! I've found the more I endure the easier it seems to get.... but think I will still go for a 1inch riser clip-on at some point.

Yeah well, it just makes it even more unique !

I thought about raised clip ons, I even bought some!

Half price if you want ‘em. They are black though...

Hmph,
What next a bloody sissy bar and tool roll on the forks ;-)

Well it’s either new bars or an op on my wrists. Being squeamish, new bars it is!

Anyway, these big ole Sports bars will give me a place to hang my leather tassles.

Good tip on the sissy bar, I’d not thought about that!

Tool roll! Not needed, it’s a Norton doncha know...o_O

Good choice FE however the wrist thing is no biggie had right done last fall , left is scheduled for 6 Nov. since fix right hand/fingers have suffered no issues while riding very pleased with result ... Nurse made photo , took 7 minutes including injection no pain during cutting, chose not to watch though ...

F*ck me Craig... I might have believed you that it’s ‘no biggie’ if you hadn’t posted that picture:eek:

I guess you missed the bit where I said “I’m squeamish”...

I’ll keep using the ibuprofen gel and look forward to my new handle bars thanks!

Had my right wrist done in 2007 and never regretted it. Left is bothersome but not enough to get it done.
FWIW I thought they advanced the surgery so there is only three small holes using a camera
Pete

Yes that is an option , the Plastic Surgeon doing my wrist is in favour of the method displayed ... he young sharp shooter and like I say really nice tidy job ... I worked in back yard next day no problem .... actually looking forward to left fix I rode many miles this season with one hand .... Nigel I do have photo of it stitched up ( I will not post ) and I am sorry for any discomfort with regards to photo .... I would compare procedure to getting a tooth filled at Dentist .... the newer process with 3 holes involves having a sleep , this way sat in chair and had a chat bout bikes while he got it done
