pics of the rebuild

My favorite shot.

Are there more pics of the during?
Did you go with rear sets and if so, which ones?

Top man Eric, I thought that I was the world's last surviving Rush fan ! :D Might have to put a picture disc on tonight !

Cool pics. I love the close ups. Is that your wife or girlfriend in the one shot? After getting my girlfriend to help me get the motor in my MKIII, she vowed never to help me again. It was a tense moment getting that lump in there without dropping it.

Little does she know she'll be helping me get a Triumph unit motor into a frame soon. It will be much heavier than the Norton engine.

oh yeah i remember you mentioning that in a previous post.....well, my girlfriend came by to have a look to see how work was progressing, she didn't want to help as we had a bet going...she said I wouldn't have the bike running by the weekend...
I was done on thursday evening....I won a kiss. had she won, I would have been out 50 bucks and a kiss.

she saw i was so close to being done she lent a hand.

Eric

Very nice indeed, The bike is nice too. LOL My wife helped me get my motor in also and it was a bit tense too! But it all worked out and along the way she wanted to help more so she did little things here and there. Mostly getting a beer or lunch, But she really did enjoy watching it come together little by little. I think the ladies that can see joy in a machine rock!!

Eric
The bike looks fantastic. I like the fact that you have followed your own desires. Mant folk don't go for the Interstate tank when they do a Cafe racer style, but I think it looks great. I have a Triton that evolved back from an Alloy tank/single seat job back to a Domi tank with a 'special' twin seat, and I like it much more than the 'standard' cafe racer look.
I don't get much help from my women, partner, daughter or others, but I have just become a grandad for the first time last night! I now have a trainee mechanic little lad to rummidge in the garage with.
The pics are amazing....
Stu.

Man, don't those Interstate tanks just look great and can cover some miles without petrol worries. Easy, now....you're going to make all those Roadster guys and gals jealous.

Nice bike, nice camera work and nice of you to share with us.

Personally I think it means we owe them one whatever they want.

Damn right! She never ever whines about parts constantly showing up so she has free range on shoes and hand bags.

Until she starts cutting into my beer money I agree, Parts showing up constantly at my house had an effect on play money. Glad mine is about done now, Loading up the trailer tonight with the 75 and the 72 and headed to the Colorado Norton Rally. Getting there a few days early to check the place out and make sure the bikes like the thin air. Take care, Chuck. Oh and those are some GREAT photos of your bike, I am hoping to show those to my brother and talk him into something like that. 1st class stuff. Some of those shots would look great enlarged and framed. Ride safe, Chuck.

Sorry to tempt you Chuck, but Matt's just had three brand spanking new heads delivered for you to drool over !

Can't see the photos here at work so I'll have to check them out at home. I agree that an Interstate tank looks lovely on a cafe build.

I sold my Interstate tank. It didn't look quite as nice as this one. :( I hope to find another in better condition one of these days.

Chuck, have a good trip and we'll see you down there. I'll be arriving Sunday evening.
