Photobucket is dead to me

Need help please. The photo size limit on this forum is 1 MB. I have to resize my photos with a pixel quantity for the desired length and width of the new reduced size photo. What pixel length and width do I plug in that equals 1 MB?

Edit - I think I answered my own question, and edited out an old Photobucket photo and replaced it with one from my own files after copying and resizing it . For a rectangular photo, it looks like the max acceptable pixel length in any one direction is 1200.

just as L.A.B. stated below " just select the 'Hotlink for forums' option, then it doesn't need the 'img' tags."
right click on that bar and when you see the copied just go back to your post here and paste.
Clear as mud.
