Oil pressure problem!

"We know its self adjusting"

"How do we adjust it?"

Kinda answered your own question there lol.

If you've fitted aftermarket levers, check the plunger adjustment is correct...beyond that, as you say, its self adjusting.

Sorry for big gaps in paragraphs...its this forum, its mega hard work for me at present doing this and other bat shit crazy stuff, hence not coming on here as much now.

Thanks a lot for responding Stu! And thanks for the photos and heads up!
With the friends advices here and with your advice I will of course start with the oil pressure check and continue from there.

Maybe you can advise here also please:
My clutch is engaging at the end of the clutch lever travel…
We know it is self adjusting and my mechanic doesn’t see how it can be adjusted…
How do I adjust it please?

Thank you!
My ASV clutch lever was shipped with 2 different length push rods. I used the shorter to achieve a better engagement point.

The way I've set up plunger rods before, is to wind them in to remove free play. Unbolt the clutch slave and pump it out, apply finger and thumb pressure in an attempt to push the piston back in, whilst simultaneously slowly winding the plunger adjuster out on the lever until the master cylinders internal return drilling is uncovered and fluid is allowed to freely return to the reservoir.

I have the dealer package and the gin files.
Please check private message I sent you🙏

First check your oil pressure ! If you don't see a pressure problem , replace the pressure switch . If you see a pressure problem , then continue with checking the oil pump and the timing cover/oil filter cavity. Don't forget to check the oil filter screen in the oil line. The oil pump is easy to work on , remove it from the engine and keep it clean when you disassemble/re-assemble it. The Norton 961 powerplant is wonderfully well thought out for servicing.
Tony they need to hire you for marketing!!! "The Norton 961 powerplant is wonderfully well thought out for servicing." this could be the best selling point yet!! :)

This is copy and paste from Stu Bodycote : or if you just have a shitty SMP supplied oil pressure switch.
I would think this SMP means ( Standard Motor Products )

Update on the oil light:
I had oil pressure, I changed the oil two days ago to 10w60 and oil pressure was good also, I started riding and the oil light turned on right away on idle, I continue to ride 6 kilometers more and parked it. Obviously I was very upset.
The day after(yesterday)I talked with my mechanic and he said it is safe to ride because I have an oil pressure, so I took my helmet right away and went out for a ride! To my surprise the oil light turned off right away when starting the bike, I ride it for around 20 kilometers and nothing! The oil light didn’t turn on! I couldn’t be more happier!
I’m riding it today and no oil light so hopefully problem solved!
(Crazy shit 961 issues!)
Thanks to everyone for your advices and help🙌😊🙏

I wouldn’t trust anything on these bikes electrical. Especially the idiot light or oil pressure sending unit.

Maybe you should just order a new oil pressure switch from Birmingham Norton ?

Thanks Tony. Problem solved for now as I updated above.

Is it possible to order anything from Norton?
I have talked with the parts section and they told me that only when the new Commando with start delivery next year parts of it will be available for purchase…
