no thats old oil i used there was feck all came from primaryThat oil container full of oil is that what came out of the primary case, if so way too much oil or did you do a oil change from your motor.
As I said should be no more than 7floz.
That bolt joint is designed to shoulder up. That is, when properly shimmed, the shoulder nut pulls the cover snug enough to compress the gasket, and then hits the shoulder. When you put a new sealing rubber in do not and I mean do not over tighten that centre bolt nut, over tightening it will warp the outer cover and you will get leaks, just tight enough for the seal to do its job, so many over tighten the nut thinking the tighter the better but it's not.
thanks buddyCan't see much as they are not big enough to see detail, but the use of sealant and marks on the joint surfaces show you need a new seal and the surfaces need attention. High spots are much more likely to cause a leak than low spots, so dress the mating surfaces to remove any high spots, a flat file will remove the high spots and leave a flat surface as long as it always touches both sides to keep it level.
thanks buddy, it was not that tight and like i said earlier it only leaked in one area at the top, new seal orderedThat bolt joint is designed to shoulder up. That is, when properly shimmed, the shoulder nut pulls the cover snug enough to compress the gasket, and then hits the shoulder.
A well engineered setup that is not sensitive to over torquing.
