Odd Tabs on '72 Commando Frame

Hi All,

I'm in the process of tearing down a '72 Commando before sending the frame for paint. Can anyone confirm if the tabs on the rear frame hoop are supposed to be there? From everything I can find, I think not, and they look rather 'custom', but though I'd check before breaking out the grinder.

No, they should not be there and it should not have the hole at the rear of the seat loop either.

Gotcha thanks for the confirmation. Rear hole was for internal routing to the aftermarket taillight that was on there. Much to undo.

I thought so, so there's probably (Edit: has to be?) another similar hole in the tube somewhere further forward that wouldn't normally be there.

Great opportunity to rust kill and waxoyl inside the frame, before you seal it up.
