What treatment have you done on the primary cover? Is that a modified A 10 primary. Looks elegant.
Yes its a A10 case with a commando alternator bump welded on.

And welcome to the forum............ Great looking bike and "outside of the box" good job.....

Have read the later ( 72 ) A65 frames had the lower seat rails too .

Oil Qty is sfa , but with a cooler & filter it'd bring it up . Filler at the front'd do something to .
Maybe Unbaffled all the oil'd go on your feet . :D may need a seperate breather volume set up ? .

ANYWAY , the REAR mounts on a BSA Twin match the pre unit / Commando engine plate widths ;
though you could always throw them into a Triumph one - the inner rear mounts .

a P11 Chaincase'd get the shafts closer / lasrger gaps at theextremities . Maybe . :?
With any of those frames, if the mounts are narrower all I do is fit spacers. Stepped plates are nasty. I've never found a common British frame with radically different width mounts and that is probably because most have evolved using the old separate gearboxes. Velocettes were a problem in the old days because of their silly clutch arrangement. The sixties frames from unit construction Triumphs might be better than a featherbed for holding a commando motor. With my Mk3 Seeley, the total length from the back of the gearbox to the front of the motor, is very short - yet the weight distribution is great. To get the gearbox out, I have to either undo everything behind the motor and pull it forward, or take the motor out completely.

Norumph .

A65 . maybe they all ave em , looking at the pic tures ??

Greetings Mr Norumph . Be intesting to hear ' the story ' ,. vissisatudes if any , vibratory characteristics & suchlike .
And ' Ow It Goes ' .

Matt, can you tell me what the rake is on a 1963 650cc Bonneville, and is the A65 frame similar ? I've used the old A10 BSA frame for a Tribsa and fitted the 1963 Triumph fork yokes. The handling was superb, with 19 inch wheels - the rake on the A10 frame was 26 degrees, I believe. You have got me thinking about what to do with my spare motor and gearbox. I think one of those 60s frames would be a very good answer.

One often reads of Hele's final selection of 62 deg. for the steering angle on the 1966 T120
- Minton .

60 is 67 , 61 / 62 is 25 ( like a moto G.P. :P ) presumeably 63 is too . :?

If youre a open primary circuit sucker , the ' package ' would likely SQUEEZE in a A65 ( 60s ) frame - was gonna use one but threw the T100
in a home cobbled wideline with 68 tri swing arm & shocks . The 68s stiifer - springs are progressive , as were the rude holders .
Conical rear with non QD Axle , spacer drilled to suit ( or use a toob . )

Any inguneers ooh arnt extortionist is your neighbourhood - Ive ' some ' grinding & turning & pressing & welding - to see done .
Mostly defeatests , Queeche & ' add a few zeros ' while you say etc and WOFTAM types . Though there is a Vincent & the odd
pommy bike in these parts . They don't seem explosive or leave molten rubber on lift off . These are obviously inadequate .
any marvelous welders thereabouts ?

Finking the Oile Tubes your best bet . Mayb Norumph will advise
