Norton (Donington) Bike Nights dates announced

Just got back from the Norton service team and at lunchtime today they were told that the BBQ night was on so food was hastily being sortedo_O

Sorry to hear about Olivia, she was 'one of the lads' for sure and will be missed.

I think that sounds like a simile I am now worried about what will happen to your bike when the bike meets are off for winter. They are a great bunch at Norton my oil pipes were adjusted as soon as I arrived and were all very friendly as usual. They even polished out the scratch mark on the mudguard made by the cooler
 
Anyone up for the 13th Sept bbq? The last bbq of the season, 27th Sept, is too close for me to the proposed Ace Cafe meet up and if I have any hope of getting to that then I will be wanting to keep my back as supple as poss :)
 
Gents, if MxMartin’s list is correct, this coming Thursday is the last Norton factory bike night of the year.

The planets may have aligned for me as (currently at least) the weather looks good AND I’m free!

If weather and freedom persist, I’m planning on riding up there.

Anyone up for it??

I’ll be with a couple of Ducati mounted mates, which I like cos they make my 961 sound rattle free...!

The meet is pretty much your ordinary bike meet, lots of nice machines to look at, good folk to natter to. Earlier in the year the place got busy from 6p.m. but by 9p.m. 'twas empty and I was last to leave. This Thurs. the ride across temp looks promising at 21degC but come the trip home temp will plummet down to 12 or 13 so I'm going to be putting on my thermals :)

Oh... and it will be dark from 7:30 so check your light bulbs!
 
Just messaged wodgedodge, he is working near leicester so aims to be there. Waiting for a battery for his 961 to arrive today. If it doesn't you will get to see his goregous Laverda, but you will hear it well before you see it
