new project!

This is hard mount.. I dont think its "right" but its how its done... Any info or opinions would be great!
 
ALL Nortons prior to the Commando were solid mounted.
And since your project is preCommando, seems about right.
Even allowing for what that frame is, and has had done to it...

BTW, since its not Commando, expect that LAB will shift you sideways into the Others category real soon now ?!!
 
From what I can see of this (I can't see the whole photo on my computer screen) I think that this is an original British frame with a rigid rear end welded on to it.
 
Yes, when i first posted this topic i thought i was getting his other project.. Dont truly know what i have... I will try and post more pics here in a sec

Be careful, think it through. If the exercise of building a mix of parts bike like that is what you desire, then accept that the $3-10,000 you spend will be forfeited when you decide to sell it and move to the next big thing. Not trying to rain on your parade, just some sobering views on the cold facts of finance.
