Actually, those Suzuki (and MANY OTHERS) exhaust washers are spiral wrapped stainless & ceramic fibre.
They work great in all other applications I’ve seen.
The Commando wild card is the yanking hither & yon of the pipe. Likely a non-issue, we have a solid endorsement from another poster here.
