Holy cow practically neighbors I'm in Queensbury. Thanks for the heads up. The guy who did all the initial work for me is from over by Argyle, he used to be a Norton Dealer back in the 70's. I'm always looking for more info and names and places to add to my growing repertoire.

It's great to meet a younger person that shares my same interest in classic motorcycles and Nortons in particular. Yeah, Queensbury is just up the road from me,we are lucky this year the weather has been nice for riding. Hopefully the weather cooperates this Saturday because there Is a motorcycle show/swap meet in Balston Spa. I'm hoping to add to my growing collection of random bike parts.

+1 on the Old Britts Tech Articles.
You may want to read every single one, just to brush up on your Nortonese.
The read will be well worth your while, for enjoyment, safety and education, if you plan on keeping, riding and maintaining that fine machine of yours.
I know it helped me. 8)
Norton owners club in your area is a great source too.

ENJOY!

Oh.........
And just a heads up.............
You may be blowing that shoe string budget over and over again............
Just saying............... 8)

X2 on cjandme. Never ride without decent skin protection 9and I'm not talking SPF numbers!). Leathers are best, IMO. During my Norton career I had to step off 4 times (twice on Commandos and twice on AJS Stormers, all on black top. One of the Commando events was about 80 mph. In every case, my one-piece racing leathers and a good pair of gloves saved me from any road rash
