They are still Premiers so the slides are hard anodized and exactly the same as those in the zinc-alloy carbs.By Jove Baldy, we don't say pot metal we use that fancy material name (that escapes me for pot metal)
If they are made from some form of aluminium and the slide is similar, the slide will still wear (like Dellorto's) ?
Here's a Premiere slide after 22,000 miles. Looks as new.
Same with the carb body.
This is with the Zinc alloy, time will tell if the Al. Carb is this good.
That’s a key question for me...Think of three on a T150...that is a lot of weight saved. More to the point isnt the weight it is how the bodies hold up.
One would think that the ally would be better. At what they ask for them they better!
Just the strainer on the fuel tap and the standard Amal strainer at the banjo, no inline filter. What filtration you running Glen?
Sorry Glen, I meant air filtration! I‘m asking as the slide looks so good. Original premiers would have been shot long ago at that mileage, yet they (as you said) look like new ...Just the strainer on the fuel tap and the standard Amal strainer at the banjo, no inline filter.
