I'm working on fitting cast aluminum wheels front and back. I've finished the back wheel which is a WM3 rim (2.15") The existing tire that was on that rim is a 120/90/18 dunlop that I left mounted so I could test the possibility of buying a new 120 width tire. It just barely fits inside the chain guard by a popcicle stick's width. I think I could put a tiny bevel on the lug on the swingarm where the chainguard bolts up to and give the chainguard and tire a little bit more room. I measured the tire width with a caliper and the tire's width was 4 13/16 " and that seemed like as wide as I could go without having to modify or remove the chainguard.

it looks big... but it does just barely fit.

Thanks for clearing that up. That width would seem more realistic.
As a matter of interest are you using stock geometry with the upside down fork yokes?

Yes, the triples are stock geometry.
The bike has been raised about 2 inches in the front and 3 inches in the rear, to maintain close to stock trail.
