Mercedes chain for Norton primary

First hit on google

OE reference number(s) comparable with the original spare part number

But buying by the OEM number does not guarantee OEM quality unless you go to a Merc dealer as aftermarket chain, as shown by the above info, can be sold under the OEM number.

Just buy it off 'The Chainman'.

If ordering from a car dealer or parts house, is the D67HP the correct length out of the box?
That is the problem, they need shortening and with the press fit middle plate
they are a bastard to adapt. I have been doing for many years and have the knack.

The nearest is a Merc part number 003.997.5394 which is 126 link and you need 92.

Listen to Andy The Chain man .Give your hard earned cash to him for Iwis chains . He is familiar with Commando chain high quality needs .

I had small issues contacting Jason too and The shipping . But my god once you fit his Iwis chains to primary , final drive and timing chains you will be converted .

I bought a 130 link version last November.
It was marketed by FebiBilstein, Febi number 09238.
Iwis confirmed me that the FebiBilstein chains are manufactured by Iwis.
At least one sideplate of my chain showed the typical Iwis logo indeed.
Iwis advised me to get one of the following chains numbers and shorten it to suit:

Spoke to Jason last week, drive chain arrived two days later. Timing chain already in.
This IWIS chain looks quality, is pre stretched. I think it’s the best chain available for our Norton’s
Belt in the primary on this one, will go for the duplex chain on the next.

Jason’s IWIS chain is quality. You can tell by the infrequent adjustment intervals. As good as you can get without going sealed, without doubt.

But a precautionary note to those looking to buy elsewhere: IWIS make all sorts of chain. Just buying IWIS, or another brand made by IWIS, in no way ensures you’re buying the same quality stuff.

An iwis from Jason chain has taken the punishment better on my Alton starter
I also use his chain on the primary of my A10
And final drive chain on my t160 , commando, and A10
No complaints

I emailed

At the time, I emailed Jason for a quote, but got no reply. So I looked for and found another source.

Chains do not stretch or are pre-stretched . They only wear out .

So the only two choices for a new primary chain is Andover Norton and Jason the Chain Man who is very difficult to get hold of. Perhaps he only responds to phone calls and not to emails? I tried to email directly with the Iwis factory but that's a dead end too. I need to get on with the project but nobody seems to like the Andover Norton chain. Is there anything else?

I brought a new chain from Andy before he retired, he was going away that night and he shipped it to me straight away without invoicing to Australia only a few working days to arrive and still no invoice or payment to him, lucky I am a honest person and contacted him by email and he sent me the bill after I reminded him, how many business would do that, but I will put my trust in Jason when I replace my primary chain with his duplex chain and timing chain.
