well, not just yet but they will be. It would be a shame to see Johns efforts be history.
I wont go into detail but I have been in discussions with Johns family and they have agreed to let me continue production
of the Lansdowne Damper Kits. They will be produced by me exactly as John made them using the same materials etc.
Of course they will still be called Lansdowne Damper Kits with reference to the original designer John Robert Bould.
I really couldnt see how John made any money out of this project and if he did it wasnt much, so I dont expect to
make much out of this project either. But at least the Norton world will still have access to one of the best mods for these bikes.
All materials for manufacturing the dampers are coming from the UK at a bit of a cost. I will be doing all the machining personally to start with
but I expect there wont be enough hours in the day with my current workload so I may end up farming some of the machining out to one of
my reputable machine shops who do most of my production work.
I'm definitely not taking any orders as this only puts me under more pressure,
End of the year or New Year before I would have kits to go.
Stay tuned Don
