well, not just yet but they will be. It would be a shame to see Johns efforts be history.
I wont go into detail but I have been in discussions with Johns family and they have agreed to let me continue production
of the Lansdowne Damper Kits. They will be produced by me exactly as John made them using the same materials etc.
Of course they will still be called Lansdowne Damper Kits with reference to the original designer John Robert Bould.
I really couldnt see how John made any money out of this project and if he did it wasnt much, so I dont expect to
make much out of this project either. But at least the Norton world will still have access to one of the best mods for these bikes.
All materials for manufacturing the dampers are coming from the UK at a bit of a cost. I will be doing all the machining personally to start with
but I expect there wont be enough hours in the day with my current workload so I may end up farming some of the machining out to one of
my reputable machine shops who do most of my production work.
I'm definitely not taking any orders as this only puts me under more pressure,
End of the year or New Year before I would have kits to go.
Stay tuned Don

Excellent. I've been waiting for someone to pick up the glove. Now I'm glad you did it. You're one of the very best to carry on the legacy.
Please set me up on the list.

Yes thank you, When I heard he had passed I thought I had missed on my chance to do this upgrade. Great to see his work will continue through you, Good on you. Thanks again, Chuck.

That is good news. I will certainly be in the market for them when the time comes.
Regards, P.

Great news for all, been waiting for someone to pick that up, too good not to continue......

Good news. I had the personal tour of his factory when I picked mine up from John and came away with one of your 2LS brake plates as well. In the end I couldn't at the time find a pair of suitable rate external springs so didn't use them and sold them on. Are you manufacturing internal and external like John did.

Don
Plus 1 I'm down for at least
One set,thanks and good luck
Jeff

if I had another Norton I would want a another set .... one of my best mods was installing JRB's dampers .... good on Don ...

Another customer here :D

Fair play for picking up the baton

Great news. I have these on two of my three Commandos (to my great satisfaction) and can now hope to have them on the third as well.

I'll be reworking the front end on my MK3 this winter, so I'll need a set too.

I'm down for a set too. Real good instructions on setup would be sweet too.
