JS exhaust port fillers

We probably would not notice a difference until a bike is on a race track being ridden by a rider who is used to riding there. If the bike is performing better, the corners arrive slightly sooner. If you use the bike somewhere you are not accustomed to and it is quicker, how would you know ? On a race track, we usually work up to speed.
I will be buying a pair of the inserts. I think they are an excellent idea. I will probably never race again, but when I bought the 6 speed TTI box, it was also about completion of the project. The last time I raced - what the bike did, gave me the required sense of achievement - however it might be even better.

Drove mine today . Did not seem to be a sharper exhaust note ( 750 pipes into 750 mufflers ) , but seemed a bit stronger . No way to tell . Good solid idle .
That is probably the most one is going to get out of the inserts at either end without some additional port work.

Some of the things which make a significant difference to performance can be quite surprising. And a difference can appear anywhere in the usable rev range and not be easily noticed until gearing is changed. If torque is increased, it is often not detected until higher overall gearing is used. A Commando engine always seems to tend to increase in revs at the same rate, regardless of the gearing, when the throttle is opened. I like the heavy crank.
I was never accustomed to playing with such a large amount of torque, but it works when close ratio gears and high overall gearing are used. With a light crank, the gearing would never be so high. It is a different game.
I found I had to really make the Commando motor pull to get it going. But it will not spin up fast, so close ratios and slick gear changes, are needed. It needs to stay between 5,500 and 7000 RPM.
