That should fit, what problem are you having with mounting it?

There are no tabs or brackets to attach it..........? :?:

Hi Gyypsy,

Your missing the bracket that attaches to the two threaded holes on the air box. The barcket has a veritical pin. The correct side cover has a hole on the top that goes over the pin. The other mount is a roto lock at the bottom of the cover. There is a plastic piece that snaps onto a bracket on the frame tube. My JPN was missing the cover when I bought it. Got the correct one from Ken Armann in Campbell, Ca. It's an 850 MIIa roadster cover. What you show is a MkIII...wont' fit.

Thanks for the replies.
Headed for the NTNOA / AHRMA next weekend . Will see if any swap meet parts are available .

That is the 850 Mk3 cover. It can be adapted to fit, but it's not the correct item for '74 model JPN.

The correct cover as illf8ed said, is the 850 Mk2A item.

Thanks very much for the info. Now I know what to look for.
Another question.......... Where does the ignition switch mount.

Lou at Relic Cycles rebuilt it and got it running. I then hooked up the bodywork and am sorting through the wiring for the lights. Will haul it to the AHRMA /NTNOA
show and gather more info. This site is invaluable as old farts of my vintage are getting scarcer every year.
