Think of it as a floating disc!SURELY… there has to be proper discs available ??
Honestly… slotting / opening up the holes is not a proper fix in this application.

Hi Lance , What years were they ? I just received the Aecindia Norton 961 wheels . No measurements taken yet !Ok, but so far this issue is on one bike, one hub? or is it two bikes, one hub? Or are my movies getting mixed up??
Front-wheel only?
This morning I took off discs from two spoke front wheels we have in the shop and the spacing was fine. Cast hubs.
Hey Tony,Hi Stephen , Thanks for taking the time to show this. We will pretty much have this all in the open soon. Can you recall how the brake discs holes lined up on the Honho hubs ? Do you have a photo of the rear and does it show any witness marks ? Looks like you have (had) the wheels I am trying to install ! The Honho Black rims India .
Two bikes , both 2010's fitting 2015 cast hubs I think .Hi Lance , What years were they ? I just received the Aecindia Norton 961 wheels . No measurements taken yet !
14 and 15Hi Lance , What years were they ? I just received the Aecindia Norton 961 wheels . No measurements taken yet !
That's interesting, thanks for checking. Two bikes so far affected and only front hubs I believe. The wheels I got are from a 2015, and the wheels @Clive-961 bought are from a 2021 bike. Mine has Brembo discs and I presume his does as well as it's a 2010 bike. Two bikes , both 2010's fitting 2015 cast hubs I think .
These wheels are from AECINDIA , late model Norton 961 cast hubs (circa 2018) measurements are in inches 3.115 in. = 79.121mm approx. center to center Front WheelHi Lance , What years were they ? I just received the Aecindia Norton 961 wheels . No measurements taken yet !
So it looks like there was some quality control going on. I’m pretty certain you wont have any issues with alignment TonyThese wheels are from AECINDIA , late model Norton 961 cast hubs (circa 2018) measurements are in inches 3.115 in. = 79.121mm approx. center to center Front Wheel
Inside measurement 2.888 inches = 73.36 mm
Here are the N marked on each spoke , Voodooo said his bike has these (kind of marcus registrada) Norton Spokes .
I will eventually show how the brake disc holes line up but I can't do it now.
Don't know yet .Is that the same bolt spacing as your old wheel Tony?

Cliffa , Was there only one seal on the front hub of your wheel r/h side ? I wondered why they didn't put a seal on the other side l/h side ?That's interesting, thanks for checking. Hi Tony, glad the discs line upCliffa , Was there only one seal on the front hub of your wheel r/h side ? I wondered why they didn't put a seal on the other side l/h side ?
Hi Cliffa , I am not referring to the sealed bearings . Don't you have a seal on the r/h side of the front hub in addittion to the sealed bearings ? The circlip side l/h side does not have a outboard seal like the r/h side does and I wondered why . Maybe Stu Knows why .Hi Tony, glad the discs line up
Both bearings on mine are sealed, but no other seals or dust covers. On the right it has a short stepped spacer ( step inwards) and on the left a longer parallel spacer. I don’t actually remember seeing any circlips either. I’ll take a look tonight.
Hi Tony, apologies you are correct there is a seal with a small spacer inserted on the right side only.Hi Cliffa , I am not referring to the sealed bearings . A 2021 wheel did not fit ? Wow , whats happening here ? Any other details from from Clive-961 ? I would have thought the front hub disc hole spacing was resolved by then ?The wheels I got are from a 2015, and the wheels @Clive-961 bought are from a 2021 bike.
Ok , there is more but not bad news . Did you change the rear hub also Cliffa ? When switching to a cast rear hub you must have the proper spacer between the sprocket carrier and the r/h side of the hub. Please look at this : machined (Talon) rear hub is flush with the face .Hi Tony, apologies you are correct there is a seal with a small spacer inserted on the right side only.
@Stephen_Spencer how long did you clean that for before you posted it?Hey guys - I may be complicating things again (I have previous !) but my cast hub bearing appears to be flush?

Only two full days Gj - which shows amazing restraint on my behalf I’m sure you’d agree!@Stephen_Spencer how long did you clean that for before you posted it?
