Nigel , I’ve got a pair of RST thermotech heated gloves,with the built in rechargeable batteries,on low last 5hrs,medium 3.5 hrs,high 1.5hrs,if you needed them on the high setting then you shouldn’t be out on yer bike,so on low all the time with an occasional boost to medium,no need to cut into the bikes wiring loom & have dangling wires, & of course they can be used on all yer bikes,priced at like £180, but if your an I.A.M. Member u do get a genuine 15% better deal thru “ Bikestop” at Stevenage.

1680 already, very impressive, with my new heated grips, as soon as I get dry roads, I will be catching up. Warranty only another year to go. Probably 2K in coming year so still way of Blighty's tally, he's a proper hard biker and doesn't mind spending time cleaning it

Yes Zard black ceramic coated titanium 2:1. Very light weight and sounds nice without baffle. However the bracket at the bottom on the exhaust that bolts to the frame of the bike broke off due to vibration. In the process of welding it back together. Was considering putting the stock exhaust back on but it’s just soo heavy I don’t think I want to add the ~25lbs back to the bike. Will probably stick with the Zard.

I haven’t made time for a nice hwy1 ride yet. All my miles are just committing to work on rt101 and it’s been so congested lately there is never a good time to stop and just enjoy the view. I plan on riding up to Big Sur one of these days I have some free time.

Wow, that’s a big weight saving! You piqued my interest now!

Any chance of a video with decent sound? Someone once posted on here that they had a Zard but removed it because it made a sound like there was a duck trapped in the exhaust!

Does the bike run well / cleanly with it fitted?

Yes runs well with the exhaust. Videos don't do the sound justice but here you go. First with baffle then without.

A few questions:

Any cornering clearance issue with the pipe on the righthand side?
Any drive chain clearance issue?
Looks like pipes have spring retainers below motor, is that the case?
Do the pipes come in chrome?
 
They don’t appear to offer chrome. They offer:

Bare stainless @ €1970
Black ceramic coating @ €2230
Full titanium @ €2680.

I guess the closest to chrome would be to get the bare stainless option polished.

They’re certainly not what you’d call cheap...

You are correct. I don’t think there is a chrome version. No clearance issues. Yes has springs connecting the mid pipe to the headers. This setup does make it harder to get to the main oil drain plug. Will need to switch the bolt so I can use an open ended wrench for easier access.
