Ham can v.s. K&N

Looks like a good fit from where I'm sittin'. New improved & just released Norton almost OEM air filters. I believe I could go for that next time around.... maybe sooner because they look good.

If you mean mine, I’m trying them but not actually recommending them to anyone. They fit snugly onto the screw threads on an Amal 900 intake and can be held fast by a hose clip. I had to shorten the stubs on the filters to clear the battery carrier and then the stubs wouldn’t fit over the intakes because their bore is slightly tapered. Damn!
So I had to attach them with radiator hose, 50 mm size to fit the filters, squeezed down with hose clips to fit the ~45 mm intakes. Professional engineering it is not!

They must be more restrictive than the relatively huge ham can, but they may be less restrictive than BSA/Triumph pancake type and they look like they’ll filter better than the K&N.
