Correct. Notice that even that one sticks out a bit further than the H4 Halogen. I have one of those and it's a chore getting the lens mounted because the connector hits the headlight switch. I have a much smaller switch that I'm going to install this winter.

This is going into a MK II nacelle.

I have the stock switch in mine and it clears with no issues.

What didn't clear the switch was the ring on the back of the reflector that was intended for a rubber cover (not required in a motorcycle application). I used a cutting wheel on a Dremel to cut away a section of it to clear the switch.

Or get a decent reflector, e.g. a Cibie Z beam and you will have a bright and well focussed light with an off-the-shelf H4 lamp.

I have such things on my 'classic' bikes and they are a better light than on some of the 'modern' bikes I have had.

p.s. 'modern' is relative... '86 K75 and '96 T309 Trident.

IIRC, a H4 bulb has a different focal point than a BPF bulb. So the reflector for a BPF will not work with an H4 bulb (and vice versa), even with a base that is made to fit.

Dan,
I had to install a shallower bucket from mine (Wassell) on my 1974 and then it all fit. I would just call Paul as he can eliminate your problem. All my units,ICM box,LED flasher, etc all fit inside the shell.

I haven't tried the Daylighter 2.
DZG doesnt list on the lumen output for this light, just the power draw which is 30 watts, the same as the Daylighter 2.

The information on the site is a bit ambiguous. Will this fit in the stock nacelle with an adaptor and the proper wiring socket? (Goffs H4LED5K)

I want the brightest headlight possible both to seen by motorists both day & night and also allow spotting deer at night on mountain roads in the Adirondack.
Dude, it's gettin cold here, must be even more so in the Northern Tier. Time for the snowmobile gloves.

Something's wrong here. The 9000lm bulbs I see are 80-90 watts, not 30 as shown here. Goffy's 5000 unit is 30 watts.
It says "up to" 9000 LM but is also rates the voltage as 9v-32v I assume the 9000 LM is at 32v

All LED's run at 5V internally, the voltage regulation circuit sorts out both the +/- problem and converts 9 to 32V to 5V. So the up to refers to dipped and main difference, nothing to do with voltage supply as long as its in range of 9 to 32V..
