Shiiiiiit. The filthy cockroaches of the world ruin the fun.. AGAIN. Sorry you got robbed. Begs the question, what DO the credit card companies do to earn their fees?? (From the merchant)

The Swedish police should be involved, and interested in this.
How did the parts get intercepted, and shipped off to Indonesia, if they were shipped to a legit address in sweden ?

Well I am not very happy that is for sure, especially given the time of year...
I have been up early working on this all day, everything from recovering emails from back up server and being on hold with USPS & PayPal and more-- really pissing me off

That's bad luck, Jerry. Every once in a while every body runs into a complete shit. Dosen't make it any easier when it happens, just have to think about the good people who have helped out in the past - and will in the future :D.

I just found out the package left on the plane to Sweden 25 mins ago while I was on hold with USPS. Now trying to find Sweden mail sorting office phone number, but address seems invalid even though I shipped there before.. It is some hind of mail relay.

I now have verified that the fraud buyer purchased from an IP address in Romania, and had me ship the parts to Sweden (address noted above). The address in Sweden appears to be some kind of shipping relay to Indonesia. I dont have the finall address in Indonesia.

"Kenjeran Park" is in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Edit: Not that it matters now, but "Jastimland" could really be "JATIM" which means: "Jawa Timur" or "East Java".

Thanks Les
That is very strange as I have been shipping to Sweden. I am trying to find local police/ post office there to intercept my last shipment that left US earlier today.

If anyone feels like helping me I need the phone number or email for this post office: http://here.com/indonesia/surabaya/...ce--360qw8nv-aa7f5e08625c4b3686cff16204f9c21c
or nearby police station. I am trying to at least get my last package (4 premiers) intercepted and this person arrested. Cant seem to find the phone numbers.

EDIT
Never mind found it: Surabaya Police HQ: Jl. Sikatan 1. ☎ +62 31 3523927
Probably a waste of time, but will call them

The Swedish Post Office should have flagged this as some sort of possible scam.
And returned the packages to you.

If its them doing the forwarding, you could take action against them ?
Not that that avenue is likely to go far.
Or get these present packages back...

Contact Interpol. ?
This is an international scam, and cc fraud, and they are in that business..

FBI already alerted
USPS insurance no good for this
Paypal fighting my case

I called the police station in Indonesia (VM) 5:00AM there

I cannot work out how the Swedish address functions or where to call there. It does not make sense to me. It is some kind of relay facility in Sweden with a forwarding address. I am not having any luck finding a phone number or email. However I did send a general email to Swedish mail customer service. I am pretty much over it now...

What did the Indonesians say? I'll repost this on a few other sites that may have some Swedish nationals on it.

Very sorry to read this Jerry.
Just a thought but Is the Sweden line just a red herring, postal people like post codes so perhaps the delivery only relies on the address up to the post code??

Bad bleddy news .

Id guess the fancy words

/ Kenjeran Park 56
Sabbruya, Jastimland, 6026

/mean Indonesia in swedeish , so they automatically pass it through . :(

Its probably no help at this time but the address does not appear Swedish

A Swedish zip code is 5 numbers long

The town names do not look Swedish either.

I think Matt Spencer is right.....probably went straight to Indonesia

This is one of those retail nightmares. There are always people out there trying to scam you. 99 % of your customers are great but that 1% can create some serious issues. There are new scams showing up on a regular basis and fortunately most of them are stupid enough that you can pick them out but every now and then, they just get you.

Unfortunately this is so common any longer that very few authorities will do anything but file a report.

I am really sorry for your experience Jerry.

Think Karma.....some bastards out there will get what they deserve at some point

Matt

Hi All-- Yes the bottom line is the zip code and they simply pass it through.

I am a bit upset with the PayPal merchant system as I thought it had AVS. Address verification. This means the IP and address are matched and if the IP address does not match the real address the order fails. I always had this turned on with authorize.net gateway or I had my own script that checked. It turned out that PayPal does not have this unless you pay extra and I did not know that. It would have saved me. Anyway once I get this resolved I will move to a different merchant gateway as PayPal are too expensive if you have the extra security feature.

PayPal are fighting my case and I have given them evidence that they asked for, but at this point I am sure I can write the $ off. Just be careful if you sell online. I should have known all this. I think the way I was originally approached by email was interesting. This person actually knows about commando stuff, so I trusted him and did not check up.

Can't be that many Commandos in Indonesia!

I had a chargeback situation with Paypal as a vendor, it got resolved in my favour, but it's bloody difficult to work out what the procedure and time limits are
