The schematic for post 2013 models shows the Neutral switch brings in a ground this goes to the ECU and to the SPEEDO. So the power most likely come from the SPEEDO . I would disconnect the neutral switch at the trans case ,. Then if the light never comes on again , probably the neutral switch. Could also be the ECU bringing the neutral line low and causing the light to illuminate. Or there is a wire going to ground (chaffing) . I would start by disconnecting the neutral switch wire from the switch itself. Remember that now the bike ECU will always think that you're in gear so you will have to pull in clutch lever to start . I think what Lexington is saying is that when he is in neutral , he can get the neutral light to go out intermittently by bouncing. This may be related , but does his light come ON when it's NOT supposed to ? If you lose the ground coming from the neutral switch the light will go out. If you get a ground (or any low potential) on the neutral switch wire (no matter what gear you are in) the neutral light will come on. I would start with the neutral wire connector first. I hope this helps .
