A few items to address. A small oil leak, hard to detect right off where it came from, and on the way to the dealer, the fuel light flickered on very briefly despite having a full tank. That just started. Other than that, the bike is a dream. I cheated a little, there's 720 mi. on the bike. My friends Duc Monster 1200S had an oil leak (its brand new) and he had to wait over 3 weeks for a gasket. Lets hope it doesn't come to that.

If the oil is overfilled, the excess will get blown out the breather and appear under the bike. I was confued about the procedure to check the oil level, and accidentally overfilled the oil once. After the system eliminated the excess, there was no more oil passed.

Did you get the SouthBay Dominator silencers, and X-Pipe on you bike?

The oil leak is the gasket from the starter. They want to hold the bike until the gasket arrives (a few days). I'm going to pick it up and return it when the gasket arrives. My friends Duc Monster 1200S had an oil leak and it took 3 weeks to get the gasket and then found out it requires a one of a kind tool to replace it. I'm on vacation and want to ride. I don't want to risk that. I'll carry a rag, damn it.

And yes. I got the SD and X pipe exhaust. Its been mentioned in another thread about tire pressure and slow steering. I just checked my pressure, front tire had 17 psi. My bad for riding like that. Brought it up to 35 and the handling is quick and precise. You think the dealership would have caught that on the first service, let alone me. Had a great ride on some twisty roads with an Aprillia 1000 and a Duc Monster 1200 S. Although those bikes double the HP, I had no trouble keeping up on those limited speed roads. I'm really getting comfortable with the Norton, especially since I can wind it out over 5 grand now. I won't keep up on some long straight roads, but who cares. Up to 100, it keeps up fine, beyond that, I just let them go. They got the top end.

Over 100 mph is never a good idea on public roads. In my state they don't give you a ticket, they cuff you and give you a ride to the pokey!

Aww Daaaaad, Its just for a minute. Nice long straight road with no turnouts. Water on both sides.
