Finally got one

Hi all
I'm new here finally got myself a Triton



Will do some better pictures on a sunny day later 8)

As with everything you buy there's always problems, most niggly and I've sorted them,
but the front mudguard was rubbing on the tyre so took it off to investigate and noticed she's got odd fork legs on :roll: :roll: :evil: didn't notice when I made the purchase
So has anyone got a leg kicking about (no pun intended)



I have type B on the brake side (right) and type C pinch bolt side (left) I would prefer to change the pinch bolt side for a type B or change them both for the type D.

The tea-strainer gauze on the bellmouth looks restrictive.

Could lead to gross richness at full throttle at high rpm.

You should have only ONE pinch bolt fork leg on the front forks.

Hi Bernhard thanks for the reply but just to clear up any confusion the picture is from the internet showing the different types, they are not mine.
I was using the picture to show the two sliders I have fitted :mrgreen:

Some recent pattern sliders have a pinch bolt on both sides.

Yes I meant sliders. Anyway:

Maybe "recent" pattern parts was the wrong thing to say.

I bought them in the early 1990s, from Les Emery's catalogue. They were in Norton packaging and full of swarf. At that time, I had to buy those and file the brake side slider to make room for the wheel of a 1957 99. It was something like they only had one sort of slider set to fit forks of different yoke width.

It was something like that, my memory isn't perfect.
