Hi.
Some clues please.
I have been experiencing my F1 running well then failing on the left plug. It initially began killing the bike completely for a few minutes, then later just missing on one plug for a period then clearing itself for a further 20 klms then missing again etc.
I replaced the plugs and completely serviced the carbs. Heres wher it gets interesting.
I restarted the bike, ran beautifully with crisp throttle response for 5 minutes then dropped the plug again. What i found was the 3 yellow wires ( i think alternator ) were really hot and some scorch marks at the white connectors.
Could all this be a failing 6v coil or something related thats dropping the spark? Why would my alternator wires be getting really hot? Is there a relationship there somewhere?
Any ideas on where I start. Thanks lads.
