I have decided to thin my collection a bit and will put two of my Nortons in the Bonhams Auction in Las Vegas this week.
The first is pretty rare... a documented pre-production prototype Norton F1 Rotary #004 that was used by the factory to put on actual test miles before production release. I rode this bike on the Autobahn in Germany between Koln and Heidelberg for hours at speeds between 110 and 130+ mph and it is as smooth as silk. It has been at several INOA Rallies and I ended up putting about 20,000 miles on it. http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20469/lot/413/
The other is a fully restored 1947 Norton ES2 with a little over 50 miles since I rebuilt it. I just put on a rebuilt magneto and battery since it had lost it's spark sitting for awhile. http://www.bonhams.com/auctions/20469/lot/414/
Cheers,
Tom Kullen
