Two contributions for this interesting albeit meandering thread ( no criticism- I enjoy side journeys)
When I attended college briefly a long time ago I had a power technology course . I recall a lesson where an aerodynamic expert proved that , considering wing area , mass , drag , etc .a bumblebee couldn’t fly .
An interesting description of an expert :
An expert is a person who knows more and more about less and less until eventually he knowns all there is to know about absolutely nothing.
