Again, recommend getting your factory Norton cores re-lined.
All new over-the-counter shoes use the same cheap castings.

I have never supported these budget parts makers (you generally get rubbish with poor quality control and a piss poor fit ..I'd rather wait a bit longer if needed and sourse quality parts...that fit function properly and last...I agree. I always (40+ years?) regarded them as low grade crap for cheapo prices.
My, how times change.
The horrid trash I see marketed today (with no markings whatsoever on the part or package) take the junk parts biz to a different level. Kinda like the devil you know.
damn, old age kickin' in. honestly, can't remember what shoes i installed on the commando. i did install emgo rear brakes on the spitfire. overall, i've used emgo parts several times - brakes, clutch, sprocket, cables, handlebars, electrical pieces/parts, shocks, etc, and for the most part, never a problem with emgo. i even bought an emgo gas tank for the commando. i'm in the process of painting it, but overall, appears to be a quality assembly. one issue with the gas tank - had to do the final metal finishing and prep prior to my initial coat of primer. Thanks Joe. Was it a Commando you installed the Emgo rear shoes on?
